English teachers have their own individual work areas and cabinet storage space. They meet with each other over coffee, to share ideas and materials, conduct meetings and celebrate birthdays. Students come to the center for lessons integrating movies or computers while the main hall is used for special class activities requiring x-tra space such as rehearsals, dramatic performances, all-grade spelling bees etc. The workshop also contains a t.v.-video as well as tables and chairs which can be pre-arranged in a U shape for class discussions or in pairs of tables for group work.  The entire facility serves us as a testing area for oral exams.  Additionally, the center meets the needs of students for x-tra time, special assistance or moed bet exams after school hours.

Our center is architecturally attractive with large picture windows and comfortable spaces, making it a pleasant place to work, teach and learn.

For the past months and even years, the dedicated staff of Shar Hanegev have been working under conditions that  have been – and still are - as in a war zone. With alerts sounding often, the scramble for cover under desks or in the protected areas, they have continued to teach, enrich and inspire their learners. They come to school every morning , often coming  from homes which are NOT in missile range, putting themselves in the line of fire on a daily  basis. This has not prevented them from doing their jobs in the most commendable way possible, continuing to teach their learners according to the English Curriculum, prepare their learners for the bagrut, guide, comfort, help their learners (and each other) deal with the psychological and emotional problems that accompany their situation, in addition to continuing to develop their delightfully inspiring learning center.
