Adele's 7th grade website

Since I teach only one class in my school this year, I felt I needed another way to be in touch with my learners. Aside from the fact that I have a mailing list (via email) to keep in touch with them, I developed a website using Wikispaces. It is a convenient, user-friendly platform for people like me (who do not know html or any other fancy computer language) to build a site that I can use for my classroom purposes.

So... what do I do there?

Since our school has begun limiting our photocopying, I have a page called "Lost workpages". When someone tells me that they need a workpage that I handed out and they weren't there for, I upload it to there, and they can download it. It is also convenient if they want to do their work directly on the computer - that way it is already digital and they can just type inside it.

I have started using power point presentations in order to add another dimension to presenting the dynamics of grammar. I present it in class, and  will upload them to this page to allow students free access to them.

And finally - all work and no play make Yossi a very dull boy... so I have a page called "Ad-e-laugh" (the name was coined by my son ;) where I put things that are just plain fun (or, at least _I_ think they are). Usually I upload things from YouTube - there are short, funny clips, and they get to listen to some more English.

Wikispaces can also be interactive, but I have chosen for the interaction to be only one way for now (I wouldn't want any smart alecks going in and erasing anything there). Maybe in future, I will do something more interactive.

Come in and have a look!
